Where to go for a romantic dinner

Dinner for two requires an appropriate setting, and one of the essential prerequisites is for the locale to offer a basic modicum of intimacy. If a man invites a woman, he usually also desires to impress her with his material status; therefor the place can't be cheap. Oh, and the food should be good. In the restaurant Wentzl on the Main Square, in what they call their "Room of Air" (it has light blue walls), there is a single table for two, almost completely isolated from the surroundings. The food is French and the prices are high; this place meets all the criteria for a romantic dinner. It's cozy, very expensive, and the food is very good at the French restaurant Cyrano de Bergerac on Sławkowska st. Amarone (entered from Sławkowska or św. Tomasza st.) offers Italian cuisine, many nooks and crannies, and suitable prestige. At Pod Aniołami they have a special room for those in love, replete with cupids on the walls. The cuisine there is Polish, which could have relevance if our date holds nationalistic views. If the acquaintance has been going on for some time, one must choose the menu carefully, so as it may facilitate subsequent, after-dinner consumption. Ham-shanks, boiled cabbage, and other heavy foods - delicious as they may be - are out of the question. The meal must be an aphrodisiac. Seafood is particularly stimulating; it is prepared meticulously and in wide variety by Paese, on Poselska st., for instance.
